Increasing the minimum wage is meant to help lower class citizens be financially secure. At least, that’s what the government says. Two days ago, Kathleen Wynne announced that over the next few years, the minimum wage will increase up to 15$/hour – that’s over a 30% increase. The liberal party isn’t stupid, they’re increasing the minimum wage to take more of our money, not to help the lower-class citizens. Let me explain how. If the minimum wage is now 15$, companies need to compete for better employees and increase their salaries everywhere. Think about it… Now the entire population has a higher income and falls into bigger tax brackets. The government strikes again!
